Illusion of Duality

Description

An acrylic interpretation of a crop circle. The black and white areas represent the standing crop and the coloured areas show the flattened parts.

Within the bounds of all that is reality isn't as black and white as this dualistic dimension would sometimes have us believe. Between polarities there are many shades of grey. You can focus in and take a singular black or white perspective or try to see all from a wider point of view.

I’ve seen many crop formations in my time but this one would not leave me alone. Over a year after it had appeared it was still with me. I knew then that I had to paint it to purge it from my mind and in doing so better understand what it was saying to me.

When this formation appeared the Michael and Mary energy lines which run across England entered this formation from either side. They met in the middle and were dowsed to flow out of the formation together at a right angle.

This painting has healing properties. When I first exhibited this painting a psychic woman broke down crying. Later she told me that the painting had some how triggered an emotional release within her. Later still she had channelled some information about what had happened to her in front of my painting and was told by her guide that the painting was an archetype that could balance the two hemispheres of the brain inducing a healing state where by deeply berried emotional memories are brought to the surface to be recognised and resolved.

Since my first exhibition the painting has had a number of owners who seem to go through a healing crisis before realising that its energy is too strong to have it hanging on a wall in a living space. The painting seems to have a life of its own, healing on its travels as it goes.
